Abstract

A ratiometric fluorescent HNO probe Bod-Cou-HNO based on a Bodipy-Coumarin platform, and a sensitive HNO recognition site, triarylphosphine was constructed. The probe Bod-Cou-HNO exhibits desirable properties such as high sensitivity, high selectivity, remarkable emission shift (up to 129nm) and low cytotoxicity. Significantly, we have demonstrated that the probe Bod-Cou-HNO is suitable for fluorescence ratiometric imaging of HNO in living cells. The further application of the ratiometric fluorescence probe Bod-Cou-HNO for the investigation of biological functions of HNO in biosystems is under progress.
