Abstract

Abstract Acanthosis nigricans is an epidermal proiferative disorder commonly associated with insulin resistance. Subcutaneous insulin therapy related acanthosis is a rare and seldom reported adverse effect. Here we report the case of a young diabetic male with atypical bilaterally symmetrical acanthosis nigricans affecting the anterior thighs secondary to exogenous insulin use.
