Abstract

We present a case of recurrent stroke secondary to cardiac rhabdomyosarcoma. The detected prothrombotic mutations at the first attack had seemed to be the main cause, but the echocardiography performed at the recurrence revealed the actual underlying cause of stroke. The aetiological investigation into childhood stroke should absolutely include echocardiography regardless of the presence of other risk factors.
