Abstract
Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST) are the most common mesenchymal neoplasms of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. They are rare and rank a distant third in prevalence behind adenocarcinomas and lymphomas among the histologic types of GI tract tumours [1]. They are most frequently diagnosed after 5th decade and mostly present in the stomach [2]. In this case report, we presented a young patient who had duodenal GIST with massive bleeding and who had a good response to surgical treatment.
