Abstract

A 68-year-old Hispanic woman presented with four months of dysphagia, odynophagia, and voice hoarseness. Computerized Tomography (CT) of the neck and chest was significant for thickening of epiglottis, dilated saccules, lymphadenopathy, and tracheal nodules. Laryngoscopy showed diffuse erythema and inflammation of oropharyngeal consistent with mucositis. Exam was positive for bilateral symblepharon, oral mucositis, as well as vulvar ulceration. Upper endoscopy showed esophagitis with sloughing mucosa and bullae along with a benign appearing esophageal stenosis in the proximal esophagus (Fig. 1).
