Abstract

Gastrointestinal tuberculosis (TB) accounts for 3% of extrapulmonary TB. Ileocecal region pf gastro intestinal tract being involved is about 75%. Primary Tuberculosis of appendix is a rare type of abdominal TB and is seen in only 0.1%–0.3% of cases. Diagnosis in most instances made after histopathologic examination of the appendectomy specimen.
