Abstract

Summary The writer reports a case in which the entire soft tissues of the left eye, destroyed by an explosion, were replaced, the socket simultaneously reconstructed, the eyelids re-formed with a tubed pedicle flap migrated from the abdominal wall, lined with split-skin graft in such a way that the abdominal skin constituted the lining of the socket, while the freely grafted skin formed the covering of the eyelids. The operation was completed by replacement of the missing eyebrow with an artery flap.
