Abstract

Cholecystocutaneous fistula accompanying a post-cholecystectomy syndrome is a rare and trouble-some disease entity for the surgeons and the patient. Recurrent stones might occur within the gallbladder remnant and common bile duct, resulting in obstructive jaundice. We present a case of a 37-year old male with post cholecystectomy cholecystocutaneous fistula after open cholecystectomy for gallbladder empyema. Report from the first surgery revealed a massive adhesion of the gallbladder, treated with subtotal cholecystectomy.
