Abstract

Forearm injuries are common in pediatric patients. However, isolated distal ulna fracture is rare. We report a case of isolated Salter–Harris IV distal ulna fracture in a 12 year-old boy. It was successfully managed with open reduction and Kirschner wire fixation. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first report of isolated Salter–Harris type IV distal ulna fracture treated with closed reduction and Kirschner wire fixation. On follow up, fracture healed well and the patient reported no functional limitation.
