Abstract
Question: A 75-year-old woman with a history of chronic hepatitis C virus infection was referred to our endoscopy department with several months of progressive dysphagia and weight loss. A preliminary barium study had been performed and showed a short and irregular narrowing of the proximal esophagus (Figure A).
