Abstract

A rare case of acute twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome developed after 32 weeks of gestation is presented. This syndrome caused intrauterine death of one of the twins and newborn’s death of another one. Previous examination was performed 19 days earlier. Ultrasound examination, Doppler and fetal monitoring have shown normal findings. Postnatal colour stain of the placental anastomosis, pathophysiological research of lost life fetus and clinical tests of survived newborn confirmed our suggestions.
