Abstract

Most hepatic cysts are found accidentally on imaging studies and have a tendency to present a favourable evolution. Differential diagnosis of an isolated hepatic cystic lesion mainly includes simple cyst, hydatid cyst, hepatobiliary cystic neoplasm, and biliary cyst. We report the case of a woman who presented a giant biliary cyst and had a successful outcome following partial hepatectomy.
