Abstract

Abstract A successful experience with the Barbour and Hamilton falling drop method for determination of plasma, serum, or whole blood specific gravity is reported. A table is presented for use in the rapid determination of the specific gravity, and a second table is given for obtaining the serum protein concentration when the specific gravity is known. The advantages of these are mentioned, and some indications for their employment are cited.
