Abstract

In this paper, a method for rapid calibration and pattern test of phased array antennas is presented. To begin with, the composition of the near-field test system is introduced. Furthermore, the optimized test procedure aimed at reducing the number of scans is proposed. Furthermore, the implementation scheme of the calibration controller is described, which reduces the loading delay of the T/R control code to within 50 us through real-time computing. Finally, the real-time performance and effectiveness of this method are analyzed. It shows that the method can test hundreds of combinations of frequencies and pointing angles through a round of scanning, which significantly improves the test efficiency.
