Abstract

Micro-nano remote sensing cameras have been used more and more widely in the areas of spacecraft on-orbit motion monitoring, ground intelligent remote sensing, and extraterrestrial object detection by virtue of their advantages such as small size, light weight, strong functions, good reliability, and convenient use. In order to achieve good imaging effect, automatic exposure technology adapted to complex space scenes is indispensable. In this paper, a fast adaptive exposure algorithm is proposed for the spatial scenes and convenient implementation. The algorithm is based on the post-block image entropy for image analysis, weighting statistics on the target according to the statistics of the image, and using the lookup table method to calculate the optimal exposure time. The experimental results show that the algorithm can obtain the best exposure time quickly and stably. The speed of exposure is fast and the stability is high. It is very suitable for on-orbit application of micro-nano remote sensing camera. The correlation algorithm has been successfully applied to multiple on-orbit models.
