Abstract

Objective To study the clinical effect of esomeprazole, flupentixol and melitracen(FM) on geriatric depression with NERD(non erosive gastrooesophageal reflux). Methods From May 2013 to May 2015, 95 cases of senile depression with non erosive gastroesophageal reflux were randomly divided into study group(n=48) and control group(n=47). The patients in control group were given conventional therapy of esomeprazole and mosapride, and the patients in study group were given FM in addition, the treatment course was 3 months. The NERD symptom scores and SAS(self rating Anxiety Scale), SDS(self rating Depression Scale) scores were observed before and after treatment. The distal esophageal body clearance capacity and lower esophageal sphincter resting pressure(LES) were detected before and after treatment. Results There was no significant difference in the esophageal body distal amplitude, Les resting pressure, NERD symptom score or SAS, SDS score between the two groups(P>0.05). The esophageal body distal amplitude, Les resting pressure, nerd symptom scores and the scores of SAS and SDS after treatment in the study group decreased significantly than before treatment(P<0.05), and compared to those of control group, there were significant differences(P<0.05). Conclusions FM, esomeprazole combined treatment for geriatric depression with NERD patients, can improve the patient’s depression and anxiety, eliminate negative emotions, alleviate the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux, and the effect is significant, so it should be promoted. Key words: Esomeprazole; Flupentixol; Melitracen; Depression; Non erosive gastroesophageal reflux
