Abstract
Synopsis This paper records the first radiocarbon determination on plant detritus from beneath in-situ till of Loch Lomond Stadial age in Scotland. The age of 10,560 ± 160 BP provides additional stratigraphic control for the Loch Lomond Readvance in its type area at the southeastern part of the Loch Lomond basin and for the timing of the glacial episode in western Scotland.
