Abstract

A quasi-solid-state solar rechargeable battery with poly(ethylene oxide) gel electrolyte as the cathode and an anode electrolyte is proposed in this work. In the fabricated battery, solar energy can be converted and stored as chemical energy under light irradiation, which is further converted to electrical energy in the dark. During this, the working stability of the battery is improved by introducing the gel electrolyte into the battery system.
