Abstract

The purpose of this article is to implement a short reflection of the Russian strategic practice, which turns 25 year in 2022. The main problems inherent in most accepted strategic planning documents are considered. The study, carried out using a system-based approach, revealed typical shortcomings in the use of strategic planning technology. It was suggested that the reason for these shortcomings is the incorrect adaptation of foreign strategic technology, the insufficiently strict definition of terms in legislation, the lack of a single methodological base for strategic planning in the country. Since the increasing complexity and tension of the current economic and political situation in the world increase the relevance of strategizing, it was concluded that it is necessary to improve the practice of strategic planning in Russia. It has been suggested that due to radical changes in the country and the world, it is possible to adjust management activities and some shift from strategic to directive planning.
