Abstract

The interaction between a water molecule and silver iodide clusters has been studied by means of the CNDO method. Two different adsorption forms obtained, one of which may initiate ice nucleation. The formation of a six-membered water molecule ring above the surface requires less energy than its formation in the gaseous phase.
