Abstract
The Weyl definition of pseudodifferential operators lends itself in a natural way to generalizations to hermitian symmetric spaces. The boundedness of operators obtained in the case of the domain BD I ( q = 2) is proven, as a major step towards the development of a symbolic calculus of operators on the light cone.
