Abstract

ABSTRACTThis article evaluates the Journal of Public Affairs Education’s (JPAE) contribution during its first twenty-five years to the study of international and comparative public affairs education by looking at the 59 articles published that examine this topic in an international context. It uses a qualitative, iterative approach to summarize their themes of the 59 articles, and to categorize and display the different comparative emphases and public affairs education topics treated in them. It presents some quantitative data on the number of articles by category and by annual publication trend. It uses the results of this analysis to assess JPAE’s overall contribution in the international context of public affairs and to make suggestions for the future in this area.
