Abstract

Fred Keller's System of seems to have been designed with a statistics course in mind. A half-dozen years ago, my biggest problem in teaching the course was pace; different students learned the material at greatly different rates. Searching for a solution, I discovered that PSI had been used with great success in similar courses. I attended a workshop sponsored by the Center for Personalized Instruction (Georgetown University, Washington, DC 20057) and immediately became a convert to the method.
