Abstract

Abstract A pseudo bond graph representation of a general fluid lump in the water-steam path of a boiler is presented. This pseudo bond graph model is a modular representation and is valid for all the boiler stages. A method is presented to obtain the pressure and temperature of the fluid in each lump from the general equations derived from the bond graph and water and steam tables. The applicability of the method is demonstrated by using the techniques presented to simulate a fluid flowing through a pipe, at similar conditions to those found in a once-through, forced-flow boiler.
