Abstract

The DDS (data distribution service for real time systems) is the data-centric publish-subscribe communication paradigm. The DDS has naturally distinguishing features such as asynchronous interaction, quality of service (QoS), and a dynamic discovery to support the mobile computing. We propose a mobile adaptation of DDS based on a proxy that acts as a gateway between the mobile DDS client and the DDS fixed network. It aims at supporting seamless hand-off service for mobile DDS applications in the mobile and ubiquitous environment.
