Abstract

A proton-detected heteronuclear chemical-shift correlation experiment is proposed that partially eliminates the induced heteronucleas-remote-proton coupling present in the routinely used heteronuclear multiple-quantum correlation (HMQC) experiment. As is demonstrated with natural-abundance 133C1H chemical-shift correlations of lysozyme, the partial remote-proton decoupling obtained in the new experiment results in significant improvements in resolution and sensitivity as compared to the HMQC experiment.
