Abstract

Due to a growing appreciation for socioeconomic status influencing postpartum care, we hypothesized that social needs would impact mental health measures among women living in areas of high poverty. Our aim was to examine the incidence of depression and anxiety as assessed by the Edinburg Postpartum Depression Scale (EPDS) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD7) scores at 1 and 3 months postpartum compared to reported social needs at delivery.
