Abstract

In this paper, we propose a voxel data interpolation method. High-resolution voxel data is required to represent the detailed shape of object's visual hulls. Therefore, we are studying an interpolation method against the low-resolution voxel data. This method defines three or more reference planes in the voxel space, and then the voxel data is cnverted to the range data between the each plane and the surface of the object's visual hull. These range data are interpolated by the interpolation method based on the gradient direction. Finaly, the result of the interpolated visual hull is created by integrating these range data. Our proposed method using the visual hull created by the volume intersection is described in this paper.
