Abstract
We establish a new version of the Greibach syntactic lemma regarding substitutions between full trios, namely: Let ℒ 1 be a bifaithful trio, ℒ 2 a full trio, L 1, L 2 languages over disjoint alphabets. Then L 1↑ℒ 2∈ℒ 1□ℒ 2 implies L 1∈ℒ 1 or ( L 2 c) *∈ℒ 2.
