Abstract

The use of paclitaxel (PTX)-coated balloons have been shown to decrease restenosis rates after intervention of the femoropopliteal artery. Recently, these devices have been linked to a potential increase in late mortality. The purpose of this study was to examine 4-year outcomes after PTX balloon treatment compared to a matched control group treated without PTX-coated devices.
