Abstract
Planned preparation of diploma engineers being able to desing, operate the CAD/CAM systems and to develop their hardware and software, requires to involve into the study curricula the latest theoretical knowledge, laboratory work and practical exercises from this sphere of work. In the paper a project and present state of the implementation of the experimental CAD/CAM system is described which solves - besides the educational problems - also the perspective problems of their wide application in industry. The starting points and the conception of the hardware and software from the aspects of the education of diploma engineers with design and technological orientation are described in detail.
