Abstract

Personal and social education, omitted from the foundation subjects in the National Curriculum, will be one of the cross curricular themes running through science and other subjects, according to the government. Shay McConnon, who teaches boys with emotional and behavioural difficulties at Buckland School, Hampshire, describes a programme designed for one session weekly and yielding encouraging results.
