Abstract

This paper builds on the findings of a workshop that the Pacific Basin Research Center (PBRC) conducted in Bangkok in November 1992 at which thirty-four participants from fourteen countries presented their experiences with environmental policies. On the basis of these experiences, the PBRC concluded that important investment decisions on environment-related systems were being made in all of these countries, and at all levels of government, without access to potentially helpful information about similar decisions being made elsewhere. The paper sets forth a procedure that will permit regional exchange of information regarding prototypical experiences with environmental programs.
