Abstract

There has been an enormous upsurge of interest in the identification and the training of gifted children. One major emphasis in current research is recognition of the fact that intellectual giftedness is manifested in a wide variety of forms. Giftedness is not a single, unitary characteristic, but a multidimensional, co-ordinate system containing various mental abilities.
