Abstract

This article presents the results of a survey on computer science curricula sent to 185 computer science departments nationally in 1994. The survey consists of 26 groups of questions that probe undergraduate computer science curricula. Results from 81 universities are reported and show the major outlines of what is taught in this fast‐changing field. It is hoped that the results will help curriculum designers assess what is state of the art in the various areas of computer science curricula. Also, it might encourage those in industry to give more feedback about what skills are of interest to them.
