Abstract

ABSTRACTA self‐evaluation instrument entitled the Mathematics Inventory was developed whose purpose is to generate a profile of a student's preparation in core areas of secondary school mathematics. This report discusses pilot research using a draft version of the inventory. Appended to the report are the inventory along with prototypes of reports to students and to schools that could be generated from the students' inventory responses.
