Abstract

Productivity evaluation for infill horizontal well should take into account the interference of other oil or water wells in the flooding pattern. On the basis of the mirror-image method and source-sink theory, a semianalytical model of productivity evaluation for infill horizontal well in different types of reservoirs was built, in which the effect of boundary, the interference of other wells, the randomicity of flooding pattern, and the pressure drop along the horizontal lateral were taken into account. Application of the novel semianalytical model has demonstrated its reliability and usefulness. It is an effective method for the productivity evaluation for infill horizontal well in different types of reservoirs.
