Abstract

A new process system is proposed for reuse of the wastewater in a university campus. The process system consists of : a classified intercepting sewers system, a chemical precipitation process for the removal of heavy metals and COD substances by sodium hypochloriteferrous sulfate-sodium hydroxide or calcium polysulfide, an activated sludge process for BOD substances reduction, a large reservoir, precoat filtration of suspended particles removal by diatom and zeolite and an ozonization process for decolorization and deodorization. Economical feasibilities of the proposed process system are briefly assessed.
