Abstract

Authors have proposed a printed inverted-F antenna (IFA) for dual-band dual-sense circular polarization. In this paper, a printed IFA combined with two L-shaped elements for dual-band circular polarization. The proposed antenna radiates same sense circular polarization in two frequency bands. The relationship between the antenna characteristics (return loss, axial ratio, and gain) and the additional L-shaped elements are discussed. The bandwidth of 10dB-return loss with a 3dB-axial ratio are 4.6% and 7.6% in the lower and higher frequency bands. The antenna size is relatively small.
