Abstract

The total Lagrangian of the quantized field theory contains different bare constants: the coupling constants and the rest masses of particles. The possibility arises that the choice of the signs of these constants is inessential, that is, that the theory must be invariant under the groups of the inversions of each constant entering into the theory. To realize this, the field operators must be transformed by some non-trivial representation of the groups of these inversion. The raethod for realizing this concept is shown, and the physical consequences of the concept are discussed. (H.D.R.)
