Abstract

AT THE OUTSET, it might be remarked that the following observations, based on several thousand interviews with top corporate, banking and other officials over a 25-year span, are directed chiefly toward the junior security analyst, rather than the mature, seasoned individual. They are also offered in the hope of lightening the task of senior analysts and research stag directors, who cannot possibly accompany their junior associates on actual field interviews-especially those taking place out of town -because of the costly duplication of time, traveling expenses, etc.
