Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the presence of sarcopenia or dinapenia, and the association between handgrip strength (PPF) with health status and inspiratory muscle strength in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The study's findings suggest that, in the presence of sarcopenia, FPP was related to health status and inspiratory muscle strength. In addition, in this same group, FPP influenced the outcome variables in elderly patients with COPD. Elderly; Pulmonary Disease Chronic Obstructive; Sarcopenia.
