Abstract

Implementing an integrated passenger transport system requires, apart from substantial organisational changes in public transport management, a study examining the demand and thinking of users of such transport services. It is the users who generate transport demand so the transport offer must be aligned with such a public transport organisation. This paper outlines the results of field research consisting of a survey on the quality of the existing public transport system. Users were also polled about the new public transport management. The research was carried out on the route that connects the capital, Zagreb, and the nearby City of Velika Gorica, whose residents commute for work or education daily. Research results represent the first step of implementing an integrated passenger transport system for the said case study.
