Abstract
SUMMARY Average growth rates and yields are reported for Eucalyptus camaldulensis, E. citriodora, E. cloeziana, E. grandis, E. propinqua, E. saligna, and E. tereticornis as measured at ages ranging from 6–22 years in sample plots in trial plantations established in the Sudan, Northern and Southern Guinea zones and montane areas of the Savanna zone in Nigeria. The results of these trials indicate the following outstanding species: E. camaldulensis (Sudan zone); E. tereticornis, E. camaldulensis and E. citriodora (Northern and Southern Guinea zones); E. camaldulensis, E. tereticornis and E. grandis (montane areas of the Savanna zone). Trials of E. deglupta, E. punctata, E. robusta, E. torelliana, Gmelina arborea and Tectona grandis are also referred to.
