Abstract

A feasibility study has been performed on the design of a controller for a vehicular gas turbine, in which the turbine has been simulated using a digital computer program. The use of a computer model enables the controller to be designed at the same time as the engine thus reducing development time and allowing interaction of the design requirements. This paper shows that it is possible to design a complete system by these methods, although the present controller does not yet contain all the desired features.
