Abstract

Gravid females of Penaeus semisulcatus and Metapenaeus stebbingi were collected off Bardawil Lagoon and spawned in the laboratory within 2 days. Rearing to post larvae took about 2 weeks and when they were 5–6 weeks old (0.01 g) they were transferred to out-door ponds. P. semisulcatus reached a maximum weight of 47.7 g (females) and 25.8 g (males).
