Abstract

The frequency of a sinusoidal signal is measured within a small fraction of a cycle. This is accomplished by carrying out computations on two successive samples of the input signal. An inverse sine function is computed using hardware implementation of Taylor series. The output may be in two forms, as analogue and as digital. Linear and digital ICs have been used in this circuit.
