Research Article| October 01 2015 A Praxis of Contextualized Controversy Hugh Ryan Hugh Ryan Hugh Ryan is a writer whose work focuses on queer culture, history, and writing itself. He is also the founding director of the Pop-Up Museum of Queer History, an organization that uses queer art to explore and share queer history. His writing can be found in Vice, The Guardian, The New York Times, The Daily Beast, and other venues. He also is delighted to sit on the board of advisors for QED: A Journal in GLBTQ Worldmaking.
