Abstract
The spread of information and communication is getting easier with the internet. One website to share information via video is youtube. At present, YouTube is developing into one of the important things in society. so that both users and use of YouTube more and more. YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki revealed that there are 1.8 billion users who have registered on YouTube to watch videos on the platform every month. The number of viewers did not include spectators who watched the video without creating an account on YouTube. That is, more and more youtube users in Indonesia, ranging from children to the elderly. The use of YouTube is also increasingly diverse, such as selling, preaching, and some are just just sharing their daily activities. More and more youtube users because the content in videos on YouTube is more creative and innovative so people are more interested in watching YouTube. Ikhsanul Faruqi is an Indonesian medical volunteer in Syria who poured out his anger through a video, then the video was uploaded by the YouTube Lecture Funny. In the video, there are utterances in the form of a promise using harsh words. In fact, youtube users are not just adults, but there are also underage children who are not always watched by their parents. Therefore, this video is considered inappropriate because there are such harsh words. Then, in this video there are also utterances that need to be justified. This problem is important to study in order to know the truth of the speech and as a criticism of the language used. This article will discuss the kinds of illocutionary speech acts contained in Ikhsanul Faruqi's speech. The problems in this study were examined using a pragmatic theoretical approach and qualitative descriptive methods. The subject in this study was Ikhsanul Faruqi. This research data is in the form of various speech events conducted by speakers verbally, meanwhile, data collection in this study by transcription from oral to written form.
