Abstract

GLP-1 receptor (GLP-1R) belongs to one of B-class G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and is a therapeutic target for the treatment of type-2 diabetes. The receptor is composed of a globular N-terminal extracellular domain (ECD), a seven-helical transmembrane domain (TMD) and a small intracellular domain (ICE). In this work we demonstrated a practical procedure to utilize microbial systems to prepare GLP-1R for structural biology study.
